Österö

Österö is the furthermost island of the group with solid connections to the mainland. At Stråkaviken the waves come crashing in from Merenkurkku. Here many fishermen have their homeport. The fish hall is frequently used by the fishermen. In the harbor there is a guest jetty for visiting boats. In the summer the kiosk in Stråkaviken is open. Inside the cove you can swim at the shallow beach. In the village lie the village store Skärgårdens handelskompani and the roomy youth center where parties, meetings and fairs are held during the year. If you continue a bit further along the road you will reach the beach Grisgrund.
