Västerö lies further out in the archipelago. The island is narrow and the road runs straight through the village. Here several small bridges can be found. Here the fish bite, so many stop to try their luck. Right between two bridges lies Sandskatan, where you can camp out or just stop for a swim.
On Västerö lies Wästinn with its hotel business. On the outer side of Västerö winds the wonderful hiking trail. Here you can enjoy the archipelago at its most beautiful! If you really concentrate you can hear the breath of history in the waves when you visit the old fishing cottage at Söderskatan or the memorial to the vessel S/S Equity and the weapon smuggling before the Finnish independence.
